This machine reflects a laser light on a sample of your coffee beans, then assigns an accurate, objective number, called an Agtron Gourmet or Commercial score. These scores generally range from less than 25 to greater than 85. The smaller this number is, the darker the roast is. Readings from about 50 to 55 are generally considered a medium to medium-light roast.

An essential piece of machinery we utilize is the laser diffraction particle size analyzer. Every coffee grind sample consists of different coarseness. This machine plots the results of the data on a graph called a grind particle distribution curve.
